Excelent.
It is my first experience to see english contest speech. Now, I stay in ICC
building IAIN Syekh Nurjati Cirebon with my classmate Pbi.D and other audience.
The audience many come from senior high school such as SMA Buntet, KHAS Kempek,
AKPER, and other school. The English Contest 2014 dedicating by EDSA (English
Department Students Association) and I see there are three jury to giving
value/score participant, one of them whom I know is Mr. Farouk (speaking
lecture when I was second semester).
Few
minutes later an MC called participant number four “Ade Putria Wati” come from
KHAS Kempek to speech. In the reality, she choose sosial culture topic because
she many explain about Indonesia Culture. Many culture in Indonesia, but
Indonesia still unity also. As we know that Indonesia has differend language
like sundaness, javaness, madura, etc. In Indonesia also many religion which
differend such as Islam, kristen, Hindu, Budha, etc. Beside that there is many
food or typical food in every town such as empal gentong, nasi jamblang, gudeg,
etc. And of course music in Indonesia many genre like pop, dangdut, jazz, etc.
But, although like that Indonesia will relation with better using Indonesia
language.
From
english contest 2014, I get new experience. The conclusion is topic english
contest about tecnology and social culture. There are several participant who
is nervous and wrong pronounciation such as word “Culture” read cultur not
kAlter and word “Blessing” read blezing, etc. It is lesson for me and you all
to improve pronounciation and memotize vocabulary more in order to fluently
speak/speech and you are not nervous again.
